Millinery Classes

Millinery courses in basic blocking technique are offered periodically throughout the year. Each class is limited to 3 students and is taught from 9-3 p.m. daily during a three day period. The cost is $300 including all supplies. Plan on staying a minimum of four nights in San Antonio if you will be attending.

A 50%, non-refundable deposit is required to secure a reservation. Refunds will only be given if you cancel within 7 business days of the start of class and have found a substitute to take your place.

The course will cover a variety of subjects that are considered core knowledge for the would-be milliner. We will block three hats, two in fur felt and one in parisisol straw. You will leave with your three hats, a hat box for carrying your new creations home, a copy of "From the Neck Up" a guide to hatmaking that every milliner needs as a reference and the class syllabus which will include a list of terms, and suggested suppliers to the millinery trade.
